Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA)

At Chifley College Dunheved Campus, Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) provides students with the opportunity to explore a diverse range of art forms through the study of Music and Visual Arts, in accordance with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) syllabus. Through engaging with the creative arts, students develop skills in appreciation, composition, performance, and artistic creation. Each art form offers unique knowledge, skills, and concepts that inspire creativity and enrich students’ lives.

Students complete a minimum of 100 hours each in Music and Visual Arts during Years 7 to 10. In addition to these mandatory studies, students may choose from a range of elective CAPA subjects to further develop their artistic skills and interests in Drama, Dance, Music, Photographic and Digital Media, and Visual Arts.
