Centre for Diverse Learning
The school has a Centre for Diverse Learning. There are four classes for students who have multiple disabilities and one class for students who have an intellectual disability.
The CDL focuses on increasing all students' basic literacy, numeracy and social skills.
The strong vocational emphasis in the CDL provides a stepped work experience program. All students undertake in-school work experience, and students with a moderate disability then work in an enclave site, based in the community. Students may then graduate to join their more able peers in an independent community-based work-experience placement.
Travel training is conducted throughout the year enabling students to learn to travel independently.
