Science

Science is a mandatory Key Learning Area for all students from Year 7 to Year 10 in New South Wales. The study of Science provides students with the opportunity to explore the natural and made worlds, applying scientific knowledge, skills, and understanding across a range of contexts. It is a dynamic subject that encourages critical and creative thinking to investigate the world around us and address real-world problems.

Throughout Years 7–10, students engage in scientific inquiry, developing skills in investigating, analysing, and solving problems. The curriculum focuses on building a deep understanding of key scientific concepts across the traditional disciplines of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Earth and Environmental Science.
