In 2015 all Australian Government schools will be implementing the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD), for school students with a disability.
The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data program aims to improve educational goals for young Australians whilst promoting equity and successful learners.
Implementation of the NCCD program will enable Chifley College Dunheved Campus to more specifically target support and resources to assist our students with identified learning needs to become successful lifelong learners. The NCCD will provide educational services with information about:
- how many school students with disability there are
- the level of adjustment provided for them to participate in schooling on the same basis as other students.
Students included in the NCCD are identified by documented evidence, information provided by and in consultation with parents / carers, diagnostic and other data and judgements made by teachers and appropriate school staff. To be included in the NCCD, students do not need a disability diagnosis from a medical specialist.
Reported data will be made available in such a way that the privacy of all students is maintained.
Staff at Chifley College Dunheved Campus continue to make contact with individual parents and carers regarding those targeted students with high learning needs.
If you require further information on your child's learning adjustments or educational needs please call the school and speak with either Mrs Sue Waddell, acting Head Teacher Teaching and Learning or Mrs Meenu Makhni acting Head Teacher Support on 96236600
