Celebration System of Student Achievement.

Our system of celebrating is an opportunity for all students to demonstrate over time, sustained effort and achievement of their personal best.

This system focuses on students working towards achieving at increasingly higher standards, enabling them to demonstrate their success as learners, responsible citizens and leaders in a broad range of ways. It involves public recognition and celebration of achievements in all aspects of school life, as well as in the broader community.

Celebrating students' achievements can:

  • help maintain motivation and commitment to continuous effort and hard work.
  • build students' self-esteem and confidence.
  • enable students to feel that their efforts are appreciated and valued by the school community.

There are several ways in which the school community celebrate student success.

  1. Respect awards - students receive these on a frequent basis to acknowledge respect to themselves, each other and the community.
  2. Merit awards - these awards can be for success or effort in the academic, community, cultural or sporting areas of the school.
  3. Bronze, silver and gold awards - this is a three-tiered system of an increasing number of attainments of the merit awards.
  4. Student of the term - an acknowledgement for overall achievement in a term.
  5. Campus medallion - and acknowledgement of overall achievement during a student's learning at the school.
