Student Leadership
We value and encourage student voice by providing many opportunities for students to develop leadership skills. Student leadership provides important benefits for individual students and the school. Students have the potential to positively influence the school environment by becoming advocates for positive contributions within the community.
At our school we have targeted leadership classes each week.
Opportunities are provided for students to be leaders in the classroom, in the playground, in their support for others or in their involvement in academic, sporting, cultural or local community events or projects.
Leadership roles are spread amongst the student body and include formal roles and responsibilities, as well as, broader based leadership opportunities.
These roles include: School Captains, Vice School Captains, Prefects, Year Captains in Years 7 to 9, Sport House Captains, peer mentors, library monitors, facilitators of fund raising and whole school community activities.
